Colchester LDF
The Requirement
Colchester Borough Council wanted to be able to publish its Local Development Framework documents and engage in meaningful consultation with their stakeholders via the web.
The Solution
A Recipe for Success developed a web based consultation system called The Consultation Factory, which allows Colchester Borough Council to create their consultation document online and monitor representations made against it.
After registering on the site, consultees can provide comments on specific points within the document, see that their comments have been received, share comments with other consultees, and track the outcome of those comments.
Colchester can use the system to add paper-based representations and at the end of the consultation, download the results of the consultation into an Access database.
