2009 proved to be a busy year for the team at A Recipe for Success. Here is a taste of some of the many projects we have been working on....

Colchester Borough Council
Colchester Borough Council started using the e-KIS content management system in 2003 to deliver a site that would provide e-government information to individuals, businesses and visitors. While the site continued to be a valuable tool for the council and its residents, it was felt an update was required for 2009!

Working closely with the council, the ARFS team identified a series core aims:

• Create an inviting, dynamic homepage, controllable via flexible administration tools
• Develop a much improved search
• Create a refreshed and modern design
• Reorganise content, making it easier for people to find the information they need
• Build a centralised A-Z facility

The new website launched at the end of October. Its revamped homepage and improved navigation has already proven invaluable in communicating important information to its residents - particularly during the heavy snowfall of December and January!

The Hearing Care Centre
The Hearing Care Centre is Suffolk's only multi-award winning, independent hearing aid audiologist. The Hearing Care Centre wanted a fresh new website that could support their leading position in the county.

Priorities for the new website included:

• A bold new design utilising the company's well recognised logo and colour palette
• Improved administration controls, with ability to promote latest news on the homepage 
• A fully configurable shop module, with promotions and club discounts

Cycle Colchester
The Cycle Colchester scheme aims to make Colchester an even better place to cycle. To help raise awareness of the project and the great benefits of cycling, Cycle Colchester wanted a fun new website. Important requirements for the new website were:

• A bright, inviting design, appealing to all ages and backgrounds
• The ability to promote news, testimonials, case studies and events
• Ability to register for and receive e-newsletter updates
