Tonya Hills is a consultant who works with local authorities in the fields of eDemocracy and eParticipation. She will be presenting case studies on the latest methods of e-participation that are being used by local authorities including e-petitions, pod-casts and innovative uses of video. -
Getting Together Online - What can the public sector learn from academia?
Presenter - Professor Chris Fowler, CHIMERA, University of Essex
Professor Fowler, a psychologist, will discuss why certain methods of online interaction such as blogging and social networking sites like Facebook, are so popular. He will then draw upon the lessons that democratic services could learn to encourage online participation.
