ARFS' new office gets a warm reception
Date published: 28th April 2006
On the evening of Friday 28th April 2006, A Recipe For Success officially opened the doors of its new premises at Ransome's Euro Park, Ipswich.
A warm and sunny evening greeted around 60 well-wishers; the friends, family and colleagues who have supported the e-commerce company, since it was established in 1999.
Now, seven years on, and with company directors Jeff Hume and Tonya Hills still firmly at the helm, A Recipe For Success is looking forward to a very bright future. It has grown to become not just one of the leading e-commerce businesses not just across East Anglia, but the whole of the UK, with clients ranging from the Royal Television Society to Lincoln City Council.
The company now employs a highly-skilled team of 16 designers and programmers, whose bright ideas and technical innovation have scooped more than 60 major IT awards for the company.
As part of the evening's entertainment, Mr and Mrs John Hume - parents of company director Jeff - had the honour of cutting the ribbon and declaring the new offices open. This was followed by a speech, a sizzling evening barbecue and a few glasses of bubbly.
Later, the specially-commissioned company sculpture was unveiled by local artist Jane Southgate, helped by Rebecca Weaver, arts development officer for Ipswich Borough Council.
Jeff Hume, director, said: "It was great to share this special day with the many people who have supported us so far. It was a 'thank you' as much as an opening ceremony and the relaxed atmosphere really made it a special occasion for everyone - grown-ups and children alike!"
The brand new purpose-built offices that now house the company are conveniently located in the Masterlord Office Village, on the western side of Ipswich. A Recipe For Success moved in during January 2006, and in just a few months, Tonya and Jeff have been sure to put the company's stamp on the blank canvas.
They have adorned the spacious and light accommodation with the colourful and original sculpture, the company logo, new office furniture and IT equipment and the trademark A Recipe For Success bright colours. The finished result is a very modern workspace that both welcomes the visitor and encourages innovation from the team.
Tonya Hills, director, said: "We're delighted with our new working space. There's plenty of room for us as we continue to steadily expand, and we look forward to welcoming people here and showing them around. It's a bright space, for bright people - ideal for nurturing a strong team spirit, creativity and fresh ideas on behalf of our clients."
