Date published: 22nd December 2005

A Recipe For Success, along with its partner The University of Essex, has been short-listed for Business/University Collaboration Awards for the East of England.

The awards aim to recognise and celebrate successful collaborations between the region's businesses and Higher Education Institutions. The winners within each category will be announced at the awards dinner on 22 March, which is being held at Cranfield University. The winning company will receive a trophy and a cheque for £5000.

With a £5000 prize at stake, A Recipe For Success is up against two other finalists in the category for Most Innovative Collaboration. The short listed collaborations include:

A Recipe for Success and The University of Essex
Norwich Union and Anglia Polytechnic University
Sphere Medical and Cranfield University
Commenting on being short-listed, Jeff Hume, Director at A Recipe For Success said, "We have been working in partnership with the Computer Science Department at The University of Essex for over 5 years. It is great to see all of the hard work undertaken by Tonya Hills, Stephen Tang, and Dr Norbert Völker being recognised in such a high profile way."

Talking about the deliverables from the project, Jeff added, "We can now offer businesses in the East of England highly sophisticated e-Business applications such an Online CRM, Web & Intranet Content Management, Online Surveys, e-Government Solutions, and e-Marketing, in a highly cost effective manner, using our e-KIS Software Toolkit."

e-KIS (which stands for e-Business- Keep It Simple) has already chalked up some notable success, being chosen by organisations such as Lincoln City Council, Gateway2Innovate, and the Royal Television Society as their core e-Business platform.

e-KIS is no stranger to awards, having won a National Business Award for 'Best Use of Technology', a European Seal for Multimedia Excellence, and having featured at the recent e-Government Interop Conference in Geneva.
