Accreditation confirms quality approach
Date published: 15th August 2005
We are delighted to announce that we achieved ISO9001 accreditation in August.
Using the standards of ISO9001 as a starting point, we have introduced processes that allow us to respond more quickly when quotations are requested, further improve the quality of our software, and speed the process of identifying and correcting any problems that should arise.
Tonya Hills, our performance management director, said: "The priority was to improve the effectiveness of the company - not just to get a tick in the box. Our focus has always been on the success of our customers. That's why we designed our software toolkit - e-KIS - to make it as easy as possible not just for us to build e-business solutions, but for our customers to keep them up to date."
Business Link Suffolk and quality consultant, Graham Jackson, helped us develop our quality management system to the required standard. Checking out how the new system was being used in practice, the British Standards Institute's (BSI's) auditor noted only two situations in which improvements were needed to fully meet the standard's stringent requirements. "That's a very good result for a new quality management system," said Graham. "The number of observations they made - in effect, suggestions for improvement - was very low. If A Recipe For Success can maintain this performance and its focus on continuous improvement, its customers will soon start to see the benefits."
This quickly proved to be the case. The first project we started after our new processes were introduced was the development of a web site for Enabler, an international retail IT and business services company with customers in Portugal, the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, USA, Hong Kong and Brazil.
Cosima Wagner, manager of marketing and corporate communications at Enabler Ltd, said: "We have been really impressed with the way A Recipe For Success works - it makes life so much easier. I just wish all our partners were this good."
