ARFS win Anglian Business Award
Date published: 21st November 2003
This year the Anglian Business Awards were bigger and more sparkling than ever, lavishly hosted by BT Exact at Adastral Park. Even before the BBC's Dermot Murnaghan announced the exciting news, Tonya Hills and Jeff Hume, directors of A Recipe for Success, felt inspired by the encouragement and recognition that the prestige of this event gives to new and established businesses in the East of England.
Each year the Anglian Business Awards names the top companies practising in the Eastern region in ten key categories of business excellence.
The I-P City Technology Award, sponsored by Ipswich Borough Council, is awarded to a business that engages technology in way that is creative, innovative, constructive and successful.
Peter Gardiner of Ipswich Borough Council presented the I-P City Technology Award to a delighted Tonya Hills and Jeff Hume.
At the company's current stage of development, to be recognised for excellence in the use of technology provided a particularly stirring moment for the team at A Recipe For Success. ARFS are on the threshold of a major transformation, with the projected launch of the e-KIS (e-Business Keep It Simple) tool-kit taking the business into a new period of growth and expansion next year.
ARFS has already received critical acclaim this year, winning the Best Use of Technology Category in the National Business awards for the East of England.
'Winning this second award has inspired all of us, and has allowed the company to enter into a new era of development with enthusiasm and confidence.'
The excitement of the evening was topped when later in the ceremony A Recipe For Success discovered another reason to celebrate. The award for Outstanding Customer Service was presented to Gillian Brown of Eloise lingerie, one of A Recipe For Success's clients and winner of the Small Business of the Year in 2002.
One of the pleasures of specialising in providing e-business consultancy and support to small businesses such as Eloise Lingerie is being able to witness and feel a part of their growing success and we were delighted that Gillian Brown's professional, sensitive and dedicated attitude towards her customers was also recognised at the Anglian Business Awards.
