Suffolk-based e-commerce specialists A Recipe For Success and two of its clients - Export East of England and Eloise Lingerie - are among those recognised in the Midlands and East of England Regional Business Awards.
A Recipe For Success won the 'best use of technology' category, for which Trade Partners was a runner-up, and Eloise Lingerie, based near Bury St Edmunds, was a runner-up for the 'e-business strategy of the year' award. All three now go on to the National Business Awards, to be presented in London in November. Jeff Hume, a director of A Recipe For Success (ARFS) said, 'We believe in using technology in practical ways to help businesses overcome common problems.' The business was set up in 1997 to offer the emerging benefits of e-commerce technology to small and medium-sized companies across East Anglia and beyond.
It has grown to become a class-leader in its field, and has also developed accessible government solutions for city, borough and county councils across the region. Previous awards won by the company include the Computer Weekly Knowledge Management Award and several DTI-sponsored Smart and e-commerce awards.
'Using technology in practical ways'
ARFS is also quoted as one of the BT Vision 100 companies for demonstrating innovation, creativity and enterprise and its e-commerce solutions have won more than 20 awards for its customers.
Export East of England - part of Trade Partners UK, the Government organisation for supporting UK companies trading overseas - was nominated primarily for its use of the e-KIS e-marketing system, developed by ARFS, which has enabled it to overcome the barriers previously faced when communicating with clients. And Eloise Lingerie, which was launched in 1994 to help women who have undergone surgery for breast cancer, has also seen its e-commerce efforts transformed since linking up with ARFS.
