New trade partners website for international trade

Date published: 1st April 2003

Trade Partners UK East of England has launched a website - www.exporteastofengland.org.uk - for companies exporting or wishing to trade internationally. This website will take organisations through all the stages necessary to prepare for overseas trade. The website has been developed by the Suffolk based 'A Recipe For Success'.

Small to medium sized businesses in the East of England either in the early stages of exporting, expanding to new countries or companies new to exporting, have a regional team of experts to guide them through the process. Twenty International Trade Advisors, export professionals based in local Business Links across the region, are ready to support your business to expand and grow through the exploration of overseas markets. This website provides a one-stop shop full of all the information, advice and support needed to make the right decisions about export strategy.

A full range of services is on offer; from identifying whether companies have a viable export product or service, to providing contacts and introductions overseas, to assisting in grants to attend overseas Trade Fairs, and even a subsidised promotional leaflet service. On top of all that 'Your Passport to Export Success' programme provides a wholly customer-focused service with a threefold plan taking companies through a comprehensive introduction to exporting.

The website will provide information on regional export and international trade events, news, services available via the Business Links and available training. A list of contacts for each Business Link and the Regional Sector Specialist, International Trade Advisors and a register of grants and funding sources is also available.

Customers will be able to register their interest in the main TPUK programmes such as 'Your Passport to Export Success' and the 'Explorer Mission' schemes. They will also get access to a monthly newsletter tailored to their own interests, business sector and export destinations. These programmes are focused on new exporters. However, there will be many additional programmes, and the content of the website will be updated regularly.
