CPB Twyford
Independent research commissioned by CPB Twyford, showed that 58% of all farmers would purchase seed direct, if this meant access to exclusive varieties or a modest price saving. Could we develop a website that would enable farmers to buy seeds on-line and place CPB Twyfords at the leading edge of the agricultural business?
The new CPB Direct website allowed growers to select and buy a range of seed varieties over the internet. By using the e-KIS Content Management System and E-Commerce module, CPB had complete control over adding and updating their products and specifying special offers, such as buy five, get one free. The sophisticated administration system also allowed Twyfords to define seasons and stipulate when seeds are displayed and taken off the site.
At the same time as creating the Direct site, CPB asked us to give their existing corporate site a dramatic re-design. The new corporate site had a distinctly professional feel, which closely aligned with CPB's existing branding.
Integration with the e-KIS Content Management System gave CPB Twyford total flexibility, meaning that adding new information to the site was simple and straightforward.
In February 2008, CPB Twyfords was merged into its parent company KWS UK
