Just Help

Just Help small

As Just Help was set up to co-ordinate getting aid from East Anglia to the Kosovar refugees, they wanted us to design their website as quickly as possible. We were asked on Easter Saturday, if we could have the site ready for demonstrating live on Sky TV first thing on Easter Monday.

The development of the website was very intense but highly successful. The site took secure credit card contributions; provided comprehensive information about the types of donations and volunteers required and supplied particulars about local collection points. If people did not have transport to a local collection point they could place a request on the website for Just Help to organise the collection of their donation. An e-mail registration program enabled people to register to obtain daily updates on the appeal's progress.

The response was staggering. The majority of the appeal was carried out over 11 intense days. During that time the website and e-mail enabled the appeal organisers to communicate with 400 people in 5 countries; obtain donations and pledges; co-ordinate local donations and recruit 20 volunteers.

However, the biggest success of the website was the role it played in helping Just Help send 10 lorries with 300 tonnes aid to the Kosovar refugees.
