Mansfield Motors

Mansfield Motors Small

How could we help a garage whose customers were normally within a 25-mile radius, start selling Land Rover parts around the globe?

This was done by building a website that acts as a virtual community for Land Rover enthusiasts. By providing a range of interactive features, customers are encouraged to return regularly to the site to keep up to date with the latest Land Rover information.

The friendly, approachable atmosphere of the site encourages visitors to participate, provide feedback, and suggest content for the site, and to make personal contact with the garage with an enquiry and for professional advice about sales. Entering into dialogue with visitors helps break down some of the fear associated with purchasing products & services on-line, and helps convert them from visitors into customers.

In addition to securely selling 10,000 parts & accessories, the site provides a wealth of information about Land Rovers, a discussion board, advice column and classified ads.

The first website was launched at the beginning of 1998, and has been regularly updated since then. A Recipe For Success worked in partnership with Mansfield Motors to market the site, and have appeared in numerous national & local papers, and was regularly featured on television and radio programmes. Between 2000-2002, Mansfield Motors extended its e-commerce strategy to include on-line newsletters and e-mail campaigns to keep customers informed of updates and stimulate further usage of the website.

When Mansfield Motors was sold in 2002, A Recipe For Success went on to work with Duncan Mansfield on 4x4 Parts Master site.
